Our story
TetherKing started with a dad swinging a ball for his son to hit.
It started on a business card
Michael Pfeiffer drew TetherKing by hand before there was a product — a pole, a tether, a ball, and someone swinging at it. Every unit sold today is built from that sketch.

It started in the backyard
Michael Pfeiffer's dad swung the ball for him to hit. That became the TetherKing assembly: a cord, a latex tube and a ball that a partner swings overhead for the batter.
The assembly became the full system — a pole, a base, and a ball that comes back on its own, so nobody has to swing it for you.
Tested by hitters
During testing, a ballplayer knocked the ball clean off. That hit produced the cap on every unit now.
MantisPro
MantisPro is Michael's company, based in Phoenix. He drew the mantis too. The King is the ball you're trying to beat.
